I am a Moderator of a site that uses a very similar format for TV shows. I would suggest the following for anyone having problems.

The first player that pops up is a real player web app. Click the REAL PLAYER Icon in the lower right hand corner of that play window, and select Play in Real Player Theater Mode. You can then pause and allow the move to buffer for a little bit, so that you will have a smooth viewing experience.

Enjoy.

Also some users of both mac and PC have been having issue after the latest upgrade of FireFox. If you are as well we have suggested that you uninstall RealPlayer, and install it again from within FireFox. Also, clear out your Cache, and Temp Files. This has solved most of the issues with the latest update to FireFox.

Sometimes when I view directly from IE or Firefox the program doesn't load. To get around this, do the following:

1: Click the Play Now Button as Normal

2: Highlight the web address (as shown), right click your mouse and copy (as you can see below, the page is blank as the movie is not loading)

3: Open Real Player and select File=>New=>New Web Browser. Paste the URL here and press return.

4: The movie will then begin to play directly in Realplayer.

Just to add to what Shinny suggested. For Mac users you can also view directly in RealPlayer by doing the following:

1. Copy the web address like she instructed
2. In RealPlayer go File>Open Location (command L for shortcut) and enter the URL in the box and click open.
The movie will then play directly in RealPlayer

Does this mean they will continue from where they left off or are they rewinding back?

The movie will load from the beginning but you can move the bar to wherever you left off (if you've already started viewing).
