Are they any movies you watch on here and thought that waste of 90 minutes of my life?

I'm one those people who watch the film whole without quitting-

what are you like when watch a movie you don't like?.

Twilight.
I couldn't even finish it. CHEESE!!! Totally silly. No depth to it whatsoever.
If I was 13, mmmmmmmaybe I'd have liked it...
Then again, nnnnnnno. Even at that age I required more substance.

Worst movie I've ever seen was Half Baked. I saw it in 9th grade history class. First of all it is so not appropriate to be shown in school and secondly I want my 90 minutes back! Worst movie ever!

Because the one that is posted "behind enemy lines" is the most and most Lousy movie action i ever watched...it would BE BEST to erase it.. THanks..

another one is Napolean Dynamite (the second and third time). It's the kind of movie you watch once just to see what it is all about, but by the second and third time it is just no longer funny!

I agree! I always feel like the movie will get better so I end up watching until the end. Sometimes they do, more than likely they don't and then you just wasted a few hours for nothing!

Some movies were not bad but just stick with you later. So you wish you never saw them so you won't have to think about them. For me it was that justin timberlake movie where they end up killing the kid that was happy to be kidnapped and trusted them.

Worst film in the history of film making has got to be "My Little Pony, The End Of Flutter Valley"
A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y AWFUL!!! I have never seen the end, I have to leave the room when my daughter wants it on. I don't even remember buying it......it just appeared, like some squeeky-voice-evil-mind-melt thing.

Its probably filled with subliminal messages like ...."I must buy my daughter some freaky coloured pony creatures that can use swings and slides and cars and wear clothes..... etc.... ad infinitum.."

I have said it before but it bears saying it twice;
Twilight was a complete waste of time. One of the rare movies I actually turned off before the ending.

The Dr Suess Cat in the Hat was atrocious. My Inner Child felt personally ripped off.

Timeline had so many blunders in it, I was shocked it made it to the screen; I actually see a microphone in one scene. And there's another where a lit candle just falls over in the background and nothing comes of it. Kinda funny.

I haven't seen Hannibal, but I think Celticmaidn meant there was a little girl in the movie.

For me - I want my time back for sitting through "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey". I was even thinking that while I was sitting in the theater watching it. I only went because my friends dragged me out of the house. I'm not a huge fan of nature programs, but all I could think during the movie is, I could be home watching National Geographic right now. LOL

I know what you mean. When I was a kid, I went and saw Jaws 2. I was afraid of the swimming pool, the bathtub, and even the toilet for ages. No matter how unreasonable my fears were - they were still very real. It made for a sucky summer though, because I really didn't want to go in the pool, and it was hot.

One of the worst movies that I've sat through until the end has to be Juno. I've watched it twice, mainly because it was on HBO and I had nothing else to watch, but I found it an enormous waste of time.
Another movie where I felt utterly ripped off was Eragon, I watched it with a friend. Would have left if I could, I found it utterly repulsive.
And even the previews for Twilight anger me, the book has the depth of a piece of cardboard ran over by a truck, and the movie has to be ten times worse. I would never watch it even if someone paid me to.

The books will always be better. There is no way around it. But the movies can still be good and entertain those to lazy to read and be a good tribute to those of us who loved the books. Lord of the rings trilogy is case in point.

waterlilybarb
02-27-2009, 09:29 AM
I agree. What I try to do, when watching a film adaptation of a book, is to just enjoy the movie as it's own story. Admittedly, some are easier to do that with than others, but it helps me not to constantly compare the book to the film. Sometimes I find it better to see the film first - then when I do read the book, it's like having all the little puzzle pieces filled in. Other times, I just want to scream at how bad the adaptations are. It's really a crapshoot.

LOL, you made some points and good ways to overcome this sort of problem.

Like your jigsaw puzzle, some pieces look better from a different angle, others, not so good, but the important thing is to be able to see the bigger picture ........ and then make a sound judgment based on all the pieces............. and then decide to ........hate them both!!!!!:( Nah only jokin' :D

Hell Ride.....

Has to be one of the worst i've seen in a long long time. Trying to pay hommage to grindhouse and biker movies, Larry Bishop has gone for a Tantino-esque revenge movie but failed on the slick dialogue/acting/soundtrack that generally trademark Tarantino's much overrated movies.

Too many themes this attempted and couldn't nail. In the end it stumbled along with a less than engaging storyline so they throw in a few random fights and boobs to keep you interested but couldnt even do that right:confused:. And wtf was up with how Larry Bishop was standing throughout the whole flick.
