Ok i was interested to know who your favourite bad guys are? We all love to hate some villians dont we.

My favourite monster is Predator, not sure why but he was a monster with a soul and had a very cool hair cut.

My favourite bad guy was the joker in batman as he was truly hideious but in a funny way.

I also loved Dr Evil and Goldmember from Austin Powers but im not really sure if they count lol

Ooh, this is a VERY good thread. hehe.

Let me think......................

Cillian Murphy as the scarecrow in Batman Begins was pretty amazing as a baddy even if he was only in it for a short time!!

Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor in the Superman Series.

Arnie when he was the "bad" Terminator !!

Kathy Bates in Misery, she was superb in that !

That's all I can think of off hand, but I'm sure "I'll be back" !!

oooh Kathy Bates now she was one mean biatch! I will never forget the block between the feet bit....

And Arnie is a good choice too, he was pretty mean in that.

The Green Goblin is a good one

Glen Close in fatal attraction, now i bet loads of men had bad dreams after seeing that one lol

Hannibal Lecter, he is one villian who needs no introduction and just a glass of chianti

I have a few to add:

Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith in The Matrix
Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Tim Curry as Cardinal Richelieu is The Three Musketeers
Chris Sarandon as Prince Humperdinck &
Christopher Guest as Count Tyrone Rugen in The Princess Bride
I'll include Wallace Shawn as Vizzini (also The Princess Bride), since he was, strictly speaking, a villain, but he was so hilarious it's hard to see him as one
Andy Serkis as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Ian McKellan as Magneto in X-Men

I'm sure there are others (I like some that have already been mentioned too) but that's all I have for now. :)

I know. I think it's my favourite, though it's hard to choose just one. There are just so many good characters in that movie that I never tire of watching it. Of course, I quote the dialogue the whole time I do watch. :D

I think Heath Ledger's definitive Joker is one of the most menacingly perverse roles in film. A really great BAD guy. :)

Definitely the Terminator (Arnie in the First, Robert Patrick in Judgment Day)
Henry Fonda in Once Upon A Time in the West
Joaquin Pheonix in Gladiator
Anthony Perkins in Psycho
"Mother Nature" in The Day After Tomorrow
"Death" in the Final Destination films.
Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher
If you have the DVD of the first Final Destination, you may have noticed one of the extras on the disk allows you to answer a few questions to determine the date of your death. If you answer this correctly it will give you that date. If you then do the questions again, but this time dishonestly, you will be given an extended life (compared to the first date it gave you). This proves that lying and living a lie extends your life.............

He was also a good baddie in the original Cape Fear. Great movie and the remake wasn't too bad either.

I love lots of the what has been posted but if I were to add to the list I would say, the nazi from The Raiders of The Lost Ark, The Bishop from Ladyhawke, Captain Vinh, the vietnamese camp commander from Rambo 2 First Blood, Montero from the Mask of Zorro.
I'm sure I'll think of others.

I have to agree, The Princess Bride is a classic.
