Hi
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem that inmiddle of watching a movie (happens by all) it can fast forward about 30 seconds, I dont see the fast forward I just see that I have missed some things. I do ususally move back to watch it but was wondering if there is any ways to correct this.
thanks

Do you mean this is happening with every movie you watch? I've noticed small glitches of a second or two in a couple movies, but nothing like what you're describing. If it's in a couple specific movies, please report it HERE (http://www.movieforum.cc/showthread.php?t=24&page=6), and try to make a note of where in the movie(s) you've experienced the problems so they can be checked and/or fixed by admin.

BTW, if anyone else has noticed this and has found a solution, please post it for the benefit of others. Thank you. :)

Yes, I had this same problem, in every show/movie, it would jump forward from 3-30 sec's.

There are a couple of things it could be.......

1. First, I recommend you do a "clean uninstall" of Real Player, click HERE (http://www.movieforum.cc/showthread.php?t=233), scroll down to "CLEAN UNINSTALL", and follow directions. Then reinstall a fresh version of the RP.

2. The jumping, can become a huge problem, when your CPU usage is high (but easily fixable).......

Do you have, K-lite Codec Pack, installed on your computer? If not, go HERE (http://www.free-codecs.com/K_lite_codec_pack_download.htm) and download the Full Version (Free Download).
After it starts downloading, there will be a list of options, make sure ffdshow is checked.

When download is finished, got to......
Start>>to All Programs>> to K-lite Codec Pack>> in the drop down menu choose-Configuration>> then click on ffdshow video decoder>>look under the middle columns and check box- skip deblocking when it's safe. This will make the video play smoothly.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, please let us know, if
Good Luck!! :)
